Ballast Point- Sculpin

This pours a transparent gold with an inch of coarse white head . Aroma smacks of fresh squeezed ruby red grapefruit and perhaps a hint of honey-like sweetness???   The taste of grapefruit, bready malt, and some grain husk (especially toward the back).  Pine seems to wander around through the grapefruit acquiesces.  The medium body and carbonation stay clear out of the way and let the hops do their thing.  Overall, this is a solid, flavorful IPA. totally get the hype it receives! 


Ommegang Nirvana IPA

This IPA is hopped with Bravo, Simcoe, Centennial, Topaz, and Mosaic, dry-hopped with Centennial, Citra, Simcoe and Amarillo and clocks in at 6.5% ABV and 60 IBUs. The flavor is hoppy, juicy and citrusy goodness – without harsh bitterness.


Long Ireland Pale Ale

A really nice balance.  Has caramel from the malt, which comes first and is quickly checked by the hops. If you compared this to similar Pale Ales, the sweetness will be a bit more pronounced, but this adds to its complexity instead of over powering it's style.  People just keep coming back to tap. ABV 6%

Crooked Ladder Downtown Brown
This pours a deep amber with a one finger foamy white head. There is pretty good retention and lacing and the smell features an earthy burnt caramel with a touch of roasted barley...Yumm  The taste also has some burnt sweet caramel, but with a touch of coffee and raisin too... also yumm.   The mouthfeel was toward the lighter side of the style which is perfect for a nice summer brew.  ABV 4.6%


Troeggs Nugget Nectar 

This is a fantastic "starter" IPA. Incredibly drinkable.  Everything about this beer is in balance.  No sharp or bitter after taste and not overly citrusy. If you have a friend who is new to craft beers, serve them this beer. ABV 7.5%

 

Left Hand Good JuJu

For a summer refresher, you can't go wrong here. Much better than some, this is like an alcoholic ginger ale.   Great ginger aroma, taste and even has the nice ginger tingle on the tongue.  Pours a nice golden color with a thin white head and nice lacing. ABV 4.5%

R.J. Rockers- Son of a Peach
This is a refreshing summer delight. Don't be fooled by the nose. A welcome July quaff.and excellent nice peach.  This could become a true fav. Many are enjoying at their backyard BBQ's. ABV 6.0%


Twin Fork- Chromatic Ale

The beer is slightly hazy orange amber in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It pours with a short white head that leaves a nice thick lacing.  Has a light aroma of grainy malts with hints of earthy yeast.  Like the smell, the taste is malty and also has strong earthy notes from the yeast.  The feel is medium-bodied on the palate with moderate amount of carbonation.  This beer taste is malty and interesting and is a nice easy drink for these nice summer days! ABV 6.6%

Narragansett- Dels Shandy
You're gonna love the smell of this beer. It literally smells like they cut a Narragansett Lager with a Del's frozen lemonade (or vice versa) and a perfect combination/blend of the two. Little bit of grainy malt mixed with lemon juice, lemon peel and hints of sugar. Taste is on par with the smell which starts with hints of grain, maybe a little bit of corn.  Nice flavors of natural lemon and a little bit of sugar. This is really meant to be consumed ice cold, which is great poured from our ice cold growler bar.  This is light and EXTREMELY refreshing, especially on a hot summer day  ABV 5%


Port Jeff- Beach Beer
This ours a lightly hazy pale yellow.  This has a light to moderate aromas of pale malts with hints of fruit (melon).  There is also a light to moderate citrus orange flavor with just a hint of bitterness which fades quickly.  This is a easy drink and is the perfect beer for a hot muggy summer day... Oh so refreshing!  ABV 5.4


Montauk Arrowhead Red
This Irish Red Ale is an easy drinking pint!  This malt-centric ale has a caramel sweetness with low hop aroma.Just for us kids!  This is a nice light Root Beer with not too strong a flavor.  ABV 5%



Saranac- Root Beer

Speakeasy- Payback Porter
This porter has the deepest black color which blocks all light.  Has a thick caramel head with good retention, leaving lovely laces.  Nice and bold aroma with notes of cocoa and coffee keep this flavor full of notes of espresso coffee, dark fruits, licorice, oatmeal, mild pecan, roasted malts, chocolate cake, some smoke and a citrus hint.   It has a full body with not too much carbonation.  A smooth and creamy brew with ABV 7.5%


Port Jeff- White's Beach Wit

Stoudt's- Pils
This pours a light golden with bubbles racing to the top; fluffy eggshell white head that leaves great lacing and retention. The aromas have hints of corn and lots of grass. Malts and grains are there. The flavors are nice and bold with a nice hop bite. Subtle spiciness with malts and grains. Lots of earthy notes. This finishes dry and very clean. Mouthfeel is great. The body is on the fuller side of light. Nice crisp carbonation making this very smooth and drinkable. Very refreshing. This is a great pilsener. It's not flashy, but it's well executed. ABV 5.4%

Money Python Holy Grail
This has a great sweetness from the malt which is the first note to hit the tongue. There is a fruitiness reminiscent of green apple and a tartness to go along with that note and a light crisp dry finish.  The hops on the back end have very herbal and grassy flavors to them.  It pours a clear copper color with a slightly creamy 1 finger head that dissipates somewhat quickly to a thin lacing.  This is a very enjoyable beer with a variety of flavors. Light-medium body which makes for easy drinkability. ABV 4.7%


Crooked Ladder ponquoguePorter
This taste is a wonderful grainy sweetness which pours with a deep brown hue and one finger foamy white head. There was decent retention and lacing.  This drinkability is not for us porter drinkers alone.  This has a wonderful easiness to it and it keep growing on it's recipient.  Wonderful porter from a great brewery!  ABV 6%



Weihenstephaner Vitus
This pours a hazy yellow and has a nice 3" fluffy head.  Add a nice sweet wheat malt aroma with banana esters, spicy yeast, some buttery honey and it's awesome!  This has is a light to medium body with lots of carbonation with a clean crisp finish. This has a sweet wheat, funky banana spice and yeast flavor.  It's very crisp with a lingering hay and banana on the palate.  ABV 7.7

Great South Bay Snozberry Stout
This has a raspberry flavor that really comes through. Its not overpowering, but it def dominates. It has a nice jam type flavor with a light chocolate and roast notes that are there to remind you that this is a stout. Pretty neutral milk stout flavor.   ABV 5.%

 

Lion Brewery Lion Stout
Pours with‏ a deep black color and a medium tan colored head with moderate retention.The aroma is very pleasant and inviting. Roasted malts, caramel, chocolate and some coffee.Tastes bittery and roasted, with some coffee and little caramel in the back. Very drinkable, creamy and full of taste.  ABV 8.8


Dog Fish Head- Festina Peche
In Festina Peche, since the natural peach sugars are eaten by the yeast, the fruit complexity is woven into both the aroma and the taste of the beer so there is no need to doctor it with woodruff or raspberry syrup. Just open and enjoy!  ABV 4.5%


New Holland- White Hatter
Great hoppy flavor that is quite earthy with a little pine. Definite pale malt character and a little earthy yeast character as well. An interesting blend of a white ale's starchy/estery/spiciness and an IPAs sharp bitterness and pine/citrus hop character. Definitely refreshing and earthy overall. ABV 5.5%


Founders Breakfast Stout
This beer pours black and thick and has a nice brown head with coffee with chocolate. Taste is def coffee w/ just a hint of sweetness. ABV 8.3%


Founder Imperial Stout
Holy blackness! This is a russian imperial stout that has no light shining through at all...NOTHING gets through. This has a chocolate-colored head that really shows you that this clearly means business.  The smell is lots of coffee with hints of chocolate which is just like it tastes.  None of the flavors are particularly overpowering which makes the tastes go down a little quicker than you'd expect.  Which isn't so bad... is it?  ABV 10.5%

Troegs Mad Elf
Pours crimson red with very little foam. Cranberry juice appearance. Cherry oak nose. Honey too. Pickly taste, oaky back. Firm alcohol pop. Sips great, and packs a sneaky wallop. Earth bitter in back. Great for a cold day. Excellent. ABV 11%


Blue Point Session IPA
Clear gold color with a tall pure-white headr Aromas of oily hops, herbs, blueberry, earth, floral notes, and some dank pine. Light, resinous hop flavor...green and clean, bitter lemon, pine, and some cereal malt. A sort of mango and berry-like quality too. Light and a little creamy. Refreshing and pretty tasty overall. ABV 5.2%


Rogue XS Dead Guy Ale
This is as smooth as liquid butter and very flavorful. This fills the mouth with flavor and a nice lingering malty aftertaste. This beer belongs in the upper echelon.  ABV 9%


Greenport Harbor Brewing Anti Freeze
This pours‏ a deep caramel color.  The taste is rich and sweet with a hoppy after note. The hops don't really come through until the swallow is aerated. This beer is a sweet malty beer with a hint of maybe coffee.  ABV 6.9%.


New Holland Ichabod
Amber colored with hints of classic hues. Thin cream-colored head sticks on the surface. Smells like wheat with & nice spices of nutmeg and cinnamon. This pumpkin ale actually taste like beer because the spices don't become overpowering. Great pumpkin flavor with a different finish that doesn't really deter from the beer at all.  Medium well bodied feel and a ting from the carbonation. Overall a great pumpkin ale with it's strongest quality being that the pumpkin and spice flavors do not deter from the flavor of the beer. ABV 5.5%


Southern Tier Choklat
Taste is dark chocolate night and day!. A little creamy sweetness and small bit of floral hops. A little alcohol at the end, but it's awfully nice!. This is smooth and creamy with a little carbonation.  An excellent stout that's thick and rich with lots of chocolate  and a little coffee. ABV 10%


Long Ireland Celtic
This brew pours a deep reddish color.  A nice head with a little lacing., No strong hop smell, but taste those muted malts and perhaps... caramel. This is the best drinkability beers around.  It's light carbonation, smooth clean finish and the way drinkability of the 5% is what makes this the perfect beer to drink all day long!!!   ABV 5%


Blue Point Blueberry
This is a taste that is mild with a light sweet maltiness in the beginning, and then a light infusion of blueberry creeps up with a slight tartness at the end. The flavor faded off the taste buds very quickly, with just a hint of blueberry left behind.  ABV 4.6%

Carlow's Brewing O'Haras Irish Stout
This is‏ a dark brown color with some chestnut highlights. A thick, pillowy tan head rests on top and sends big splotches of lacing to the glass. A mild dry stout aroma of cocoa, coffee bean, cream, molasses, with a nice twang to finish it off. Smooth roasted malt flavor quickly turns to a fair amount of black barley sharpness. Smoke, espresso, and bittersweet chocolate. Medium-light bodied, bitter, and dry in the finish. Pretty much spot-on for the style. A super-drinkable, dark, malty beverage that is a great showcase for roasted barley. ABV 4.3%


Southern Tier 2X one
A really‏ nice beer with a unique taste that is surprisingly light in feel.  A light gold color with hints of orange. Nose has some citrus scents.   The mouthfeel is crisp, and along with the citrus qualities, this makes this a refreshing, big beer. This is one of those beers that I know I'll be craving on a hot summer day. ABV 8.1%


Weihenstephaner Vitus

Anderson Valley Summer Solstice
This is a deep amber beer with a small head, minimal retention and minimal lacing.  This beer is dominated by sweet caramel malts.. The sweetness just sort of overpowers everything would make a good summer at the beach beer. Session suitable.  ABV 5%.


Great Southbay Snozberry
This is a Dark brown stout with a pale coffee head.Smell: Roasty, and fruity smell with a vague fruit taste.  The roasted, nutty notes combined with the fruit taste makes this a nice easy stout to sit and enjoy.  ABV 5%

Port Jeff Ryes N Bok
This beer is a yeasty and sour taste with a smooth and malty feel.  Has a medium carbonation and nice light head.  Pours amber red with a very inviting smell and flavor.  ABV 7.1%

Radiant Pig- Jr. IPA
This nice IPA pours a hazy orange color has light citrus hops and a fruity aroma. This is a light to medium body with low carbonation and no real bitterness.  This is a nice easy to drink IPA.


NinKasi- Tricerahops
This pours a medium orange amber hue with three solid fingers of sturdy, creamy off-white head that retains its shape well.  The aroma is def  hoppy. Theres some grapefruit and tangerine.  Plus perhaps some kiwi,  orange, pineapple and maybe gooseberry.  The aroma is downplayed but if one goes looking there is a whole cornucopia of fresh perky hop smells. Subtle caramel malt sweetness is the best part!

Ommegang- Adoration
This ours a deep red.  Has a cream colored head with nice winter spices and sweet citrus. Taste was sweet at first an has sharp tang of spice hops at the finish with a lively carbonation throughout.  Very nice on a cold winter's (or cool summer's) day.  ABV 10%


Southern Tier- Creme Brûlée
This awesome brew pours a dark brown color with a yellowish beige hue.   This is a caramel, toasty and sweet with vanilla custard, or at least that's what you think when you taste it.  This has such a nice nutty edge mixed with it's custardy goodness that you want to keep drinking it.  It's smooth, creamy, amazingly sweet with just a whisper of alcohol that  makes you want more.


Southern Tier- Warlock
Imperial stout brewed with pumpkins Warlock is brewed to enchant your palate on its own and also to counterpoint our Imperial Ale, Pumking. Make your own black magic by carefully pouring this Imperial Stout into a goblet.  Dark and mysterious, the Blackwater Series is serious about high gravity. Reanimate your senses with Warlock’s huge roasted malt character, moderate carbonation and spicy pumpkin pie aroma.


Crooked Ladder- Gypsy Red
This amber/red brew pours a beautiful dark orange-red with a deep gleam and clarity.   A nice caramel smell up front with a classic sort of malt-forward with just a bit of earth and herb to balance. A hint of cocoa comes in off the end.  The medium body is crisp and stays clean. ABV 5%                         

 

Crooked Ladder- Winter Ale
This pours an awesome amber color with a nice creamy head.  This is a light winter ale with plenty of flavor with a fruity bite.  Great lasting flavor on the tongue that keeps warming you long after the mouthful is gone.


Crooked Ladder- Kolsch
This pours a medium straw hue with a one finger foamy white head. There is great retention and lacing.  The aroma is a grainy pilsner malt with an herbal hop. The taste is consistent with a malty spice.  Overall, this is a great Kolsch!  ABV 4.4

 

 Olde Burnside Hop't Scot
This is‏ a great mix between a Scotch Ale and an IPA.  The IPA comes out quite nice which is awesomely accented by the great sweetness, which is always present, but not overpowering   This pours a great orange gold color with a nice one inch head orange-gold in color.  ABV 6.5%


R.J. Rockers Son of a Peach
This is a refreshing summer delight. Don't be fooled by the nose. A welcome July quaff.and excellent nice peach.  This could become a true fav. Many are enjoying at their backyard BBQ's.   ABV 6.0%

Queens Lager
This lager pours a light bronze with a nice foamy white head lacing.  The aroma of clean malt and grassy hops makes you wanna dive right in.  This taste is reminiscent of the aroma with a balance of crackers and malts which are complimented by the grassy, herbal hops.  Overall a very tasty and well balanced beer.
